ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Singye Namgyal was born to a very humble family on 20th January, 1991 in Khar Village, Pemagatshel. His birth was accompanied with wonderful sign for several days, the rainbow appeared from Yongla Riwo Pelbar Dargeychhoeling Gonpa or the Pelri Gonpa which is popularly known as Yongla Gonpa. After three days, he was adopted by the village astrologer (Tsi-pa - རྩིས་པ) Lama Karchung to advert the inevitable misfortune to either of the parents as prophesied by village astrologer himself when mother visited him to write his birth astrology which is called Kye-tsi (སྐྱེ་རྩིས). The village astrologer also advised the family to take good care of him as his greatness shall be revealed soon and shine in later life benefitting the sentient being in future. According to mother, he articulated first word “Bae” (བོད) which means Tibet in Dzongkha in eleven months and at the age of four, he shared his life in another time and place, a considerable pull back toward the events of the life and he frequently importunes parents to let him return to the community where he claims that he formerly lived.
